Hello, I am glad you are here.

“Enter into children's play, and you will find the place where their minds, hearts, and souls meet.”

-Virginia Axline

My name is Laura Sandusky. I am a mental health therapist in Washington State. I specialize in play therapy and serve children from ages 3-10 years old. Life (and parenthood) is complex and hard. I believe we all need someone to hold hope for us. As parents and caregivers, we get to be that for our children. To desire more for them, and know that whatever season or struggle they are in is not forever. But it is hard, and we need that holding too! I am passionate about creating an environment of hope for you and your child; a space that accepts your current realities and knows changes is possible where needed. I love play because it is a powerful tool to help children express themselves and offers caregivers a window into their child’s world. My education and experience lend themselves to a therapeutic approach that focuses on child-center play therapy, grief, and trauma. I have additional training in trauma and perinatal mental health. Thank you for the potential opportunity to work with your family.
